Community Maker Yield
Community Maker Yield is the live implementation of SIP-5A. Makers who keep real, executable, two-sided liquidity on the order book are measured at tick-level granularity and paid for it.
This page publishes the live operating parameters for every market. The full mechanism, scoring path, and rationale are specified in SIP-5A: Community Maker Yield; this page only lists the values StandX operations currently run.
This is the successor to the Market Maker Uptime Program. All Maker Hours and allocations earned under that program carry over. Community Maker Yield is the structural evolution of the same mechanism.
Basic Rules
- Two-sided quoting. Keep active orders on both the bid and ask side within the qualifying band. One-sided quoting does not qualify.
- Qualifying band. Orders must sit within 10 bps of the aggregated latest mark price. Quote slightly tighter than the band to stay qualified through price movement.
- Minimum uptime. Maintain qualifying orders for at least 30 minutes of each hour.
- Per-side cap. Order value counts only up to the per-pair cap; size beyond the cap is ignored.
- Proximity matters. The closer you quote to the mark, the more each order counts, up to 2× at the tightest spreads.
Reward Assets
Yield is paid in DUSD, in platform token allocation, or in both at once. While the platform token is not yet live, the standing policy pays makers in both: platform token accrues as allocation entries, and DUSD is distributed under the campaign rules.
Yield is settled daily. Each day has its own reward pool, distributed in proportion to the Maker Hours earned that day. The size of the pool is not fixed; it adapts to market conditions and protocol policy.
Per-Pair Parameters
| Trading Pair | Unit Size (1 Maker Hour) | Per-Side Cap | Max Maker Hours / hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| BTC-USD | 2 | 20 | 10 |
| ETH-USD | 60 | 600 | 10 |
| XAG-USD | 1500 | 1500 | 1 |
| XAU-USD | 30 | 30 | 1 |
| CL-USD | 1400 | 1400 | 1 |
| HYPE-USD | 4000 | 40000 | 10 |
StandX operations set and maintain these values and may adjust them for market conditions. Check this page for the current requirements.
Proximity Weight
Order quantity is scaled by a proximity weight based on distance from the mark price. Live curve: max_weight = 200%, min_weight = 40%, band_bps = 10.
| Distance from Mark | Weight | 1 BTC Order Counts As |
|---|---|---|
| 0 bps | 200% | 2.0 BTC |
| 5 bps | 80% | 0.8 BTC |
| 10 bps | 40% | 0.4 BTC |
weight = (200% - 40%) × (10 - distance_bps) / 10 + 40%
scaled_qty = weight × original_qtyUptime Tiers
Hourly accrual depends on the share of the hour that qualifying orders stayed on the book.
| Tier | Uptime Requirement | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| Boosted | ≥70% (42+ min/hour) | 1.0x |
| Standard | ≥50% (30+ min/hour) | 0.5x |
Your Maker Hours take the better tier outcome, bounded by the per-hour ceiling. See the SIP-5A Maker Hours formula for the full scoring path.
Market Maker Fee Tiers
Your maker performance is evaluated monthly. Based on the Maker Hours you accumulate in a month, you unlock a fee tier for the following month, and it stays active for that one month. Each month is re-evaluated, so keep up your Maker Hours to maintain or raise your tier.
| Tier | Maker Hours Required | Taker Fee (bps) | Maker Fee Rebate (bps) |
|---|---|---|---|
| MM0 | ≥ 250 hours (~34%) | 3.00 | 0 |
| MM1 | ≥ 360 hours (50%) | 2.25 | -0.25 |
| MM2 | > 504 hours (70%) | 2.00 | -0.50 |
