Competition Tracks
There are 3 competition tracks. Each track selects 1 winner (3 winners total), and each winner receives 3,000 DUSD.
-
Track 1: ROI — measured by the change in your vault’s LP share price (NAV per share) over the 4 weeks: end price ÷ start price − 1. Deposits and withdrawals do not affect this figure, as they mint or burn shares at the prevailing share price.
Measured by: the vault’s NAV per share at competition end divided by its NAV per share at competition start, minus 1.
-
Track 2: Maker Hours — most Maker Hours earned over the 4 weeks. Maker Hours accrue through StandX’s Community Maker Yield program (SIP-5A) by posting competitive two-sided liquidity: keep orders on both sides within 10 bps of the mark price with at least 30 minutes of uptime per hour. The closer you quote, the more each order counts. This track rewards managers who run market-making strategies and add real depth to the order book.
Measured by: total Maker Hours the vault accumulates during the competition, read directly from Community Maker Yield.
Participation & Capital Limits:
- Single-Manager Participation: This track is restricted to the vault manager only. Deposits from other external users are neither required nor counted.
- 3,000 DUSD Capital Ceiling: A vault in this track accepts a maximum of 3,000 DUSD and stops accepting deposits once it reaches the cap, so all deposited capital counts and scoring stays simple to settle.
- NO additional funds/top-ups are allowed during the campaign. Please deposit all the DUSD you need before the campaign starts.
-
Track 3: Risk-Adjusted Return — highest return per unit of drawdown. Calculated as competition ROI ÷ Max Drawdown over the 4 weeks. This rewards managers who grow the vault while controlling downside, not just those who take the biggest swings.
Measured by: 4-week ROI (LP share-price change) divided by the vault’s largest peak-to-trough drawdown in NAV per share. A minimum drawdown floor applies so that vaults with near-zero drawdown are not divided by an artificially tiny number.
Example on which track fits your style:
| Style | 4-week ROI | Max Drawdown | Risk-Adjusted (ROI ÷ MDD) | Best-fit track |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vault A | +30% | 10% | 3.0 | Track 3 |
| Vault B | +50% | 40% | 1.25 | Track 1 |
Both are strong, but they’d apply to different tracks. Vault B chases the highest raw return and fits Track 1 (ROI). Vault A grows more steadily with tighter downside control, so it fits Track 3 (Risk-Adjusted Return). Pick the track that matches how you trade.
Manager Rules
- Seed deposit. Deposit at least 300 DUSD into your SIP-5B Vault to begin trading. You can deposit more if you want to trade with a larger book. If you chose Track 2, Please deposit all the DUSD you need before the campaign starts. NO additional funds/top-ups are allowed during the campaign.
- Owner lockup. As the vault owner, you cannot withdraw any funds (deposit or trading profits) during the full 4 weeks of the competition.
- Disqualification. Any owner withdrawal before the competition ends results in immediate disqualification. StandX may also disable the owner withdrawal function during the campaign to help enforce this rule.
- Community deposits allowed. Community users can deposit into and withdraw from your vault at any time during the competition, subject to the normal SIP-5B Vault rules. The 4 week lockup applies only to the owner. Vaults in the Maker Hours track are manager-only: they do not take external deposits and are capped at 3,000 DUSD (see Track 2).
- Owner controls community access. If you prefer to run with owner capital only, you can disable the deposit function on your vault to stop accepting new community deposits.
For Community Depositors
Community deposits are protected under standard SIP-5B Vault rules. Depositors can request a withdrawal at any time, settled at the prevailing LP share price within the standard processing window. Owner disqualification does not affect a depositor’s right to withdraw their share.
Withdrawals When the Vault Is Fully Invested
Because a vault’s capital may be actively deployed in open positions, a withdrawal request cannot always be settled instantly. Here’s how it works, and what each side should know:
Depositors: You can request a withdrawal anytime, always at NAV (LP share price). If the vault lacks free balance, your request is queued as pending and settled within 4 days. The final price is the NAV when the request settles, not when you submitted it.
Owners: A pending withdrawal shows up in your Vault Details page (see the Pending status in the example below). You have 3 days to close positions and free up balance. If you don’t, the system force-closes positions on day 4 to settle it. This happens at market, so keep a buffer.

Timeline & Slots
Limited slots: This contest is capped at 30 vault creator slots. Applications are open, and the StandX team reviews all submissions and selects participants.

FAQ
Q: Does the vault support API trading?
A: Yes. Vaults can be operated via the StandX Perps API. It’s built for developers and quant traders. If you wants to trade the vault programmatically, the full guide is here: https://docs.standx.com/standx-api/perps-auth. If you just want to trade manually, you can ignore this and use the web interface.
Q: Does the vault support SIP-4 Block Options?
A: Not for this test campaign. Block Options support is planned and will be added in a future release.
Q: Does the vault support SIP-5A Community Maker Yield?
A: Yes. Both token and DUSD rewards are distributed as normal. Additionally, trades made by in-vault traders will also earn trader points and market maker points.
Q: Does a waiting period apply before I can withdraw after depositing?
A: For community depositors, yes. Funds need to stay in the vault for 4 days after depositing before you can request a withdrawal. This is a standard safeguard that keeps vault accounting fair and stops people from depositing and pulling out right away. (Note that this is separate from the vault owner’s lock-up, which lasts the whole competition.)
